Route 12 One of American’s top 10 drives June 6, 2013

Today we decided to drive one of the top drives in the USA.  It starts at Route 12, just south of Panguitch and goes east to Torrey, Utah.  The drive goes through part of Bryce Canyon National Park, Dixie National Forest the largest national forest in Utah, and Escalante.

The views were unbelievable this is just a small sample of what we saw as we drove.  Will not bore you with all the pictures we took, but here are a few.  We thought these were better that the views in Sodona and with lots of people.

Bryce Canyon, Utah June 5, 2013

What a day we drove to the southern most point in Bryce Canyon and then stopped a many many view points.  We both really enjoyed the natural beauty.  If you like nature then you would love to visit this area.

This shows Grotos (those are the areas that look like little caves) and as the groto grows then the top falls and it becomes a hoodoo

And here is a natural Bridge, it looks to be 30 feet tall

Talk about being being able to see forever, we were told on a clear day can see 100 miles and in the back ground that would be Arizona.

Las Vegas & Friends June 3, 2013

This evening enjoyed Street tacos at Leticia’s Mexican Cocina on Norman Rockwell Dr. Las Vegas. Our friends Carol and Marcus introduced us to restaurant, it was great to spend time with our friends and enjoy a good meal.

We stayed at Hitching Post, North Las Vegas, NV.  not a great campground, but had security fencing and security gate to enter and leave by so we felt safe.  This was the second time that we stayed at this location.

tomorrow is a moving day check back to see where we will be next.
