Work on coach

For the last couple of days the temperature in the refrigerator has been higher than it should be, so I started off the day trying to find out why… update after checking everything I can think of and see if it makes a difference.

Tourist Day

OK now it is time for us to have a fun afternoon.  We are heading back into Utah to do a day trip to Arches National Park.

DSCF1388  The drive was a little long, about 100 miles.  We started by going as far into the park as possible then stopped and explored on our way out.  While at the park I think we stopped at 15 or 20 different places here are a few pictures to give a favor of the area.

Here is Virena staying out of the sun at our first arch which is Skyline Arch DSC08743

And here is Virena hiking to Sand Dune Arch what do you think is she having fun or…

and this is Sand Dune arch, not one of my best pictures

Here are some more shots to give a feel for the area.  The red color comes from iron, some the the formations will have streaks of light tan, darker brown and then red looking like the formations were laid down one level at a time.DSC08753 DSC08763

and yes I did walk up to these arches, there were 3 grouped fairly close together and only about a mile hike.

I know it looks like the rock is only inches thick but is probably 6 to 10 feet thick.DSC08784 DSC08792

and then on the way home we drove Rt 128, what a great drive we would highly recommend.  On one side is the Colorado river and the other side shear red rock wall, and any time there was and flat space between the road and the Colorado there would be National campgrounds.
