Colorado National Monument

I’ll try and do a quick update and then show some pictures.  The update is on Wednesday we made the trip to the vet with Sam for that hardest trip of all.  For the last year Sam has been struggling.  I didn’t think he was going to be able to start our trip with us, but then a couple of days before we left he perked up and was doing better.  That continued for about a week and then the last 4 or 5 days Sam was not eating at all.  We felt we didn’t have any choice but to take him to the vet for the last time.  This is the second time we have done this together, it is not what either of us wanted, and it is the first time in over 16 years Virena has been without a cat.  The rest of the day was quiet in the RV… Samson

Then yesterday we visited Colorado National Monument.  It is a 23 mile drive through some spectacular canyons and views.  The drive took us 2 and half to three hours to make the drive with all the stops at view points.  We also watched a video in the visitors center.  We love my Golden Age Card for free pass at the pay station.  I’ll also post some pictures shortly.

The weather here in Grand Junction has been very warm and dry.  Highs in the 90’s and humidity single digit.  With lots of wind with gusts in the 30’s.  We are looking forward to cooler temperatures and more humidity.  Guess we should be careful what

Thanks Fran, I do miss my little guy. It was hard to watch him fade away. I’m sure I’ll get another pet when we get home…but for now, it’s just me and Ray 🙂

      See you when we return…V

So sad to say goodbye to your sweet friends… I know it hurts…. Now it is a good time to focus on each other. 🙂

Thanks Paula, I do miss my little furry roommate of 16 years. He was always there to welcome me home. Each day I weep less, so that is healing, I guess.
