Today was another adventure in driving. Yes we are safe and secure in our spot for the night at Route 66 Golden Shores RV Park, in Topock, AZ. The campground seems to have everything; however, the road coming into the campground had cones down the middle of the street and the street was very narrow, I’m sure I hit mode than one of the cones. I did check out the restroom and was clean and well stocked.
Today’s adventures included 15 to 20 MPH wind that was out of the southwest and we were heading west on I-40 so the wind was pushing us around quite a bit in particular when 18 wheelers passed us. And since I’m only driving between 55 and 60 there were a lot of trucks passing. Then about an hour into our drive today it started to SNOW/HAIL it was not sticking to the road thank goodness.

But seeing ice build up on the windshield certainly got my attention. And reminded me that I was glad that I had put on new wiper blade while were at OK RV Park a couple of days ago. Also today was the first that we had really been driving in the mountains with this RV that we are calling Sunny, because it is suppose to only see sunshine and warm weather not temperatures in the 30’s and snow.
Then after this it was time to take a short break, when exiting I 40 the entrance ramp was closed so we got to drive on old US 66 through the town of Seligman, AZ.

The town is making an effort to make this part of old US 66 look like it originally looked from buildings to motels to vehicles, it ended up being a fun detour.
And as you can see Polly isn’t very happy with the way the weather looked.
